So I think I now understand why Jimmie Johnson grew his beard. He wanted to look sufficiently tough for his new self help DVD.
I liked him better without the beard. He was more real without the beard. He’s a winner, no doubt about it. He’d get a lot more fans if he embraced the good guy role.

That was pretty funny. Fun to see Jimmie making fun of himself. I think he’s trying to break out of the ‘clean, unemotional, corporate’ box that people keep trying to put him in. Maybe we’re seeing more of the Real Jimmie Johnson?
I dig beards, so I’m liking the one that JJ has been sporting. The buzz cut earlier this season, not so much.
