I don’t know if you’ve heard but a little known race car driver named Dale Earnhardt Jr. won this year’s Daytona 500.

Ok, but seriously, I was BEYOND excited when Dale Jr. crossed that finish line. I was screaming and jumping up and down and then shaking. The shaking part honestly surprised me, maybe I just had low blood sugar from the jumping around?? I dunno. Anyway, I’m so happy for Dale Jr. and I loved how he went and hugged every single member of his team before he talked to the reporter in Victory Lane. How can anyone not like Dale Jr.?? Seriously, how?? Actually don’t answer that because I’m sure some of you are sick of him, and I don’t want to get into it. 🙂

Anyway, maybe the best part of Dale Jr. winning the Daytona 500 was that he promised to get on Twitter if he won the race. He’s been tweeting since Sunday night and he’s great at it. Lots of pictures and good stuff. I hope he keeps it up.

In other news…

— I would just like to point out that all women should be offended by Richard Petty’s comments about Danica Patrick. I’ve never been her biggest fan but that doesn’t mean that I can’t see when someone is basically saying that a woman isn’t as good as men and never will be. His point is ridiculous. There are a TON of male NASCAR drivers that haven’t set the world on fire in their careers, and it’s really stupid to just say that she can’t do it. He’s not psychic.
