I am SUPER excited about the upcoming Toyota/Save Mart 350 race weekend at Sonoma Raceway, June 20 – 22nd. I will be there all weekend with my friend, Heather. It’s going to be awesome to finally attend a race this year.

NDA-NascarPoster_200wAnd there’s ANOTHER reason why it’s going to be even more fun than usual. Through my day job I get to work with the Downtown Napa Association. They’ve created the Napa NASCAR Night event which will take place in Veteran’s Park in Downtown Napa on Saturday, June 21st from 3pm to 9pm. It’s completely free to attend and there’s free parking as well. There will be live music, cool cars on display and Miss Coors Light & the Sonoma Raceway Girls will be there as well. There’s going to be special activities for kids, plus the usual food, beverages and, of course, wine!

I will be hosting/moderating a Q&A session with NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers Michael Annett and Reed Sorenson. After the Q&A session the guys will be signing autographs. So you should definitely come out and say hello, it’s going to be a lot of fun! UPDATE:: Reed Sorenson’s Q&A and autograph signing will be at 3:30pm and Michael Annett will be at 5:30pm!!

Another to note, you can enter to win a prize package that includes two tickets to the Toyota/Save Mart 350, two pre-race pit passes and two tickets to the driver’s meeting! To register you can go to the following Downtown Napa businesses and submit your entry by June 16th:

Alexis Baking Company – 1517 Third Street
Downtown Joe’s – 902 Main Street
Eiko’s – 1385 Napa Town Center

The prize will be awarded at the Napa NASCAR Night event by the Sonoma Raceway Girls.

If you’re coming up for the race and you’re not super familiar with the area, I totally recommend checking out visitnapavalley.com for information on wineries, restaurants and all of things you can do in the Napa Valley. FYI, the Napa Valley is separate from Sonoma, two different counties.

I know things have been slow around here lately but that’s going to continue for the foreseeable future. I’m not sure how often I’ll be posting as I figure out what to do next. I will definitely be writing about the race weekend at Sonoma, so be on the lookout for that. And of course follow me on Twitter and Instagram for updates as they happen!
