This weekend owners of crappy, junky cars will be driving ‘em like they stole ‘em at the Altamont Motorsports Park in Tracy for the 24 Hours of LeMons event.
All of the participating cars cost $500 or less. I’m thinking there isn’t going to be a lot of beating and banging like there is in a NASCAR race, I think it’s going to be more like sputtering and idling.
But like the organizer of the event said: “This is just a terrible idea,” Lam says. “How could it not be entertaining?”
I agree.
